Napoleon Apollo® charcoal water smokers

The Apollo® range is designed around controlled charcoal smoking rather than general-purpose kettle grilling. Both active models use a vertical water-smoker format, 304 stainless steel cooking grids and three adjustable inlet vents for airflow control.

Apollo® 18 vs Apollo® 22

The Napoleon Apollo® 18 Charcoal Water Smoker (AS18K) has a 17.5-inch / 44.5 cm diameter main cooking area and 240 sq.in (1,548 cm²) total cooking area. The Napoleon Apollo® 22 Charcoal Water Smoker (AS22K) increases the main cooking diameter to 21.5 inches / 55.5 cm and total cooking area to 360 sq.in (2,355 cm²).

Both models are charcoal-fuelled, use 304 stainless steel cooking grids and provide three adjustable inlet vents. Both are also compatible with an optional rotisserie attachment sold separately.

The Napoleon Professional 22 Charcoal Kettle with Cart (PRO22K-CART-3) keeps the 360 sq.in (2,340 cm²) cooking area of the Professional 22 while adding an integrated cart format for preparation and storage around the kettle.

Professional 605 Charcoal Cart

The Napoleon Professional 605 Charcoal Cart (PRO605CSS) is the largest active charcoal grill in Outdoorium’s current Napoleon range. Its listed main cooking area is 85 × 46 cm, with 850 sq.in (5,440 cm²) of total cooking area.

Choose an Apollo® model when the priority is dedicated low-and-slow smoking in a vertical water-smoker format. Choose a Professional charcoal grill when you want a broader grilling surface for direct heat, indirect roasting and general charcoal cooking.

Within each format, size and layout are the main practical differences. Apollo® 18 provides the more compact smoker footprint, while Apollo® 22 increases cooking capacity. Professional 22 models provide a kettle-style platform, with the cart version adding integrated work space, while the Professional 605 provides the largest active cooking area in the range.
